Transfer

We had been told that we could buy tickets on the bus and at Sierre station. A few of us bought online. Online turned out to be the best option as buying tickets on the bus and at Sierre station turned out a bit more expensive and involved wrestling with a ticket machine. However all else went well and we reached the hotel at about 3 pm. We got to our rooms and three of us decided to do the “pensioner’s “ walk. After a longish walk by the river we reached the start of the walk. It took us up to the Gornergrat railway and then back through the woods above Zermatt. There were excellent views and we appreciated the shade.
