Canna

From Rum it was quite a long trip round to Canna, with an interesting view of a sea eagle on a beach on the way. On this occasion we did take a shore path for our walk on the island. We did not cross the bridge to Sanday but stayed on the main island. We had lovely views of Rum and of the basalt columns on the cliffs beside the path. We passed a pair of buzzards being mobbed and making quite a noise about it. We enjoyed some sightings of seabirds along the shore.

The following morning the sunrise was quite stunning.
