Connemara

We have visited Connemara many times and this page is a photographic record of our visits since 2006. In 2006 we stayed on Inishnee near Roundstone – a highlight was a walk along the Maumturk ridge.

In 2008 we stayed near Delphi in order to have easy access to Mweelrea and also climbed Croagh Patrick.

2011 was an amazing year. Not only did we complete our favourite Maumturk ridge but we also completed, for the second time the Glencoaghan Horseshoe. The first time was in 2000. This time we had a guide, Paul Phelan whose book had helped us find a descent to Maumahoge.

In 2013 we had a cottage near Cashel and visited Ballyconneely with its lovely beaches. We also walked along the part of the Maumturk ridge that includes Knocknihillion.
