Rezzonico
We began our last day at the Ca’ Rezzonica where the only two Canalettos still in Venice are on display. After touring the palace, we enjoyed a coffee in their cafe overlooking the Grand Canal.
On our way to the Basilica
From the Ca’ Rezzonica, we walked to the Basilica via the Ponte dell’ Accademia.
Inside the Basilica
The Basilica is, of course, hugely impressive. The famous ceilings are amazing but we were also impressed by the geometric patterns on the floors.
Correr Museum
From the Basilica, we made the short trip to the Museo Correr, which has very interesting displays of old maps and naval history as well as some fine art and porcelain.
On our way back to the hotel
We walked back to the hotel, stopping for a spritz at a canalside bar and taking a short detour via La Fenice.

Back to the station
We picked up our luggage from the hotel, crossed the Ponte dell’Accademia to pick up the vaporetto to a restaurant by the railway station
