Blegoš
We woke to a beautiful sunny morning. Today we were going, with Žana, to ascend Blegoš (1562m). This walk started from the hotel. As the walk there and back was a bit on the long side for us, it was arranged that Luka would meet us with the minibus on our return.
The first part of the walk was through trees. Some of the group found parts of this quite hard going because it was fairly unrelenting uphill. However we all eventually reached the treeless crown of the hill and the summit (1562 metres). The views from here were sensational. We could see the Julian Alps with a cloud covered Triglav, the Italian and Austrian borders and the mountains to the South. Even though it was September there were interesting and pretty flowers particularly on the treeless summit. We spent quite a time at the top before descending, by a different route, to a mountain hut where we had drinks. It was then a fairly short descent to the waiting minibus.
