This walk starts at Litton and finishes at Calver Sough.
It starts by going into Cressbrook Dale via Tansley Dale.
It then goes past Wardlow and across farmland. It passes by an area of old industrial workings to reach Rough Side and Coombs Dale. Coombs Dale comes down to the A623 between Stoney Middleton and Calver.
This walk starts at Eyam and finishes at Grindleford. The route is by no means direct!
It starts by going down to Stoney Middleton and then cuts across to go up Coombs Dale.
Part way up Coombs Dale, the route goes up a side dale and up onto a high footpath. The footpath descends into Calver. The route then goes through Calver, using footpaths where possible and goes down to the River Derwent.
The route follows the Derwent to Grindleford. When we did the walk we were able to catch a 240 bus home from Grindleford. This bus is currently running on summer week-ends. In the week the 65 may well be fine. There is one pub in this part of Grindleford and a café and another pub half a mile up the road near the railway station.
