Finding the repeating parts of fractions expanded with various number bases.

Enter the numerator, denominator and base in the labelled fields. Press the OK button and the repeating part of the expansion is then displayed. For bases larger than 10, the letters A,B, C ... are used for the numbers 10,11,12 .... The base must be between 2 and 36. The numerator must be less than the denominator. The denominator of the fraction and number base must be coprime (have no common factors).

If the number of digits in the repeated part is even, the result is displayed in two colours to show the half way point and the two halves shown below, one above the other.

To repeat with a new fraction, you must press the clear button.
